Hello friends and I hope you had an inspiring weekend! 🙂 I just want to share a few things with you tonight. I had hoped to get this post out before Midnight so it would still technically be the weekend but I don’t see that happening.
First I want to share with you another Pinterest recipe I’ve tried and LOVED 🙂
Lasagna in a cup
Mine didn’t turn out as pretty but they still tasted great 🙂
Secondly, I want to review the movie “Courageous”.
(Pic removed in case of copyright issues)
“Courageous” is a film that challenges men (mainly fathers) to step up to the plate and take responsibility… to be REAL men…to be courageous. It is a call to integrity…..it is a call to protect, provide, and serve your family. The story line follows five different men with different families and situations. Four of the men are cops and it also follows the struggle the cops have with drugs in the community. You see the trials each man deals with and how their lives mix together. You also see how the lack of proper fathers affects the people in gangs. There is a statistic given about how people without a good father are more likely to get into drugs, teen pregnancy, crime, and are more suicidal. The statistics are sad because there aren’t many courageous fathers out there. Some may be “good enough” but it takes a man of excellence to inspire his children to be people of excellence. This movie was tasteful, well-made, and had several funny, sad, and exciting scenes. I loved FireProof but I think “Courageous” went even to the next level. Here’s the website and a preview. I hope you get a chance to watch it.
Thirdly, I want to tell you about the SecondLife sim Avilion.
Above is a picture of the archery area in Avilion. If you don’t know what SecondLife is you can look at previous posts to find out. I didn’t get to explore many adventure rpg sims but I wanted to show you atleast one. I found Avilion several years ago and it’s amazing the sim still exists. Economic times are hard even in virtual worlds and many sims I once visited have vanished because the owners couldn’t pay the tiers.
I’m not big on the magical aspect of of Avilion. The sim is based on the tales of Camelot. I do like that you can watch and participate in archery and jousting. The only requirement is to obey simple conduct rules and dress appropriately (medieval clothes).
Well that’s all folks and I hope you have a lovely Monday! Oh and I had a wonderful birthday. Thank you Julie for the pony you owed me lol
God bless and remember The High King Lives!
