Dear Ones, the Earth is groaning as the prophetic labor pains of Matthew 24 commence. Is it the end of the World? Or is this a new beginning? Join me for a look at World events and the Book of Revelation.
First off, I want to send prayers to all of you Dear Ones affected by the crazy weather. I praise God that my family on the East Coast didn’t get the full brunt of Hurricane Irma. My heart is with everyone as you pick up the pieces of your life….whether from hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, or flood etc…
Global warming? Weather machines? What is going on with the weather these days? The World looks everywhere for answers but the one place where the answers are all laid out. Jesus prophesied the World would look this way before the End. The end of what, you may say. The end of this World system. The end of evil…and yes, the end of the Earth we know. The World will look quite different after the Great Tribulation. Yet, it isn’t the end for humanity.
Let us read Matthew 24 as Jesus answers his disciples about three questions: the destruction of the Jewish temple, Christ’s second return, and the end of the world. History shows us the temple was indeed destroyed just as Jesus prophesied…but it is quite obvious that Jesus hasn’t returned and the world hasn’t ended. No, these two are still in the future when Jesus speaks of them. Sometimes prophecy can have present and future implications. We see this in Messianic prophecies. Messiah is shown as a suffering servant and a conquering King. Jesus made it clear that He came first as a suffering servant and would return later as King. Yet, as Jews read the side by side prophesies they mistakenly thought Christ would do both at the same time in history. So, as we ready prophecy, let us remember that the chronology may not always be what we expect. On to scripture…
Matthew 24: 4-14 KJV
“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
[vs 8 in the AMP says “But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs [of the intolerable anguish and the time of unprecedented trouble].”
“9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
Of late, I’ve experienced what seemed like the end of certain parts of my life. Maybe you are there with me. I’ve also seen how God can breathe life into what seems dead and He can make new paths. As we ponder the end of things, let us imagine the beautiful redemption of our bodies and this World. Imagine a world without evil…without pain…without death…Paradise restored.
Romans 8:22-23 NIV
“22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. ”
If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, then you have a great promise…a blessed hope. We will not suffer God’s wrath.
True believers in Jesus will be taken to Heaven for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. The good news is that ALL are invited…you just have to accept the invitation.
We will not stay in Heaven, though. We have a job to do. Once the powers of darkness and Satan, himself, is bound, Jesus will bring us back to the Earth to help him rule for 1,000 years. Jesus will rule as the King of Kings. The Messianic Age will be a time of true peace and prosperity. Know this, Dear Ones, lasting peace is impossible without Christ. The Antichrist will offer this world a false peace and it will fail. The only real hope for this planet is Jesus.
Still, this Earth isn’t our final destination. After the Millenial Kingdom, Satan will be loosed for one last revolt. He will turn unbelievers against Christ and the Final Battle will commence. You could call this mankind’s final choice. Who will they serve? After the White Throne Judgement, there will be a new Heaven and a New Earth. The Millenial Kingdom was great but Eternity and the New Jerusalem etc…will be better. Evil will be gone forever and all tears will be wiped away. Pain and death will be no more. This is where the pearly gates and golden streets come into play. Read what the Bible says:
“And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. 6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. 7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.“
This is Paradise restored. You’ll find nothing mentioned of baby cherubs playing their harps in the clouds. The closest comparison I can think of is the City of Oz. There are greens and blues. Think of the Garden of Eden to the tenth power and then some. We will be able to eat, walk through walls, and transport places. We get this from Jesus’ glorified body after His resurrection. There will be nothing boring about the New Heaven and Earth. We dream of this state already. We reach for Eternity in our fairy tales…in our high fantasy. Narnia and Minis Tirith cannot compare with what is coming our way. It is beyond our dreams…better than our dreams.
“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV
So yes, the World is crazy now, but compared to Eternity this is just a small blip on the timeline. There is a New Kingdom coming. I have hope that my Jesus, the one who loved me enough to die for me, will be the best King. I know He will right the world and I will be with Him. When He calls I’m going in a flash. I just desperately hope you will be with us. Please choose life. Research Christianity for yourself. Study the Bible. Test it. There’s plenty of evidence backing my faith. Jesus gave me life in every way and He is the only One worthy of worship. I love you all.

God bless & remember the High King lives! ~Amber Dover
A great reminder that the whole world is suffering…not just the USA.
It is clear we are experiencing birth pains, but may we be very careful not to make up signs that aren’t there. The world is almost ready for the birth, the Day of the Lord. Still, we do not know the day or hour. We must be ready every moment.
