A Toddler Christmas: The Nativity & Jesus’ Birthday

In this post: Nativity crafts and a Happy Birthday, Jesus! Party.

Hello, Dear Ones! We’re nearing the end of our Christmas posts. We’ve had so much fun and the whole reason for this joy is our Savior, Jesus. If it wasn’t for God’s redemption plan we would be lost. So during Christmas, our family really focuses on Jesus. All of the gifts and lights are just icing on the cake. Although Jesus was most likely born on a different day…probably in the spring or the fall, Christmas is a wonderful season to share Jesus with the world. People are open to hearing the nativity story. Even secularist sing hymns.

This was Leeland’s third Christmas and I wanted him to learn the main players of the Christmas story. We spent so much time on the Nativity that Leeland still talks about Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus. In fact, he thought our nutcracker set were wise men! Leeland loves Christmas and it may be several months before he lets it go. We may be hearing about the Baby Jesus this Summer! 🙂 Toddlers really have the ability to learn the basics and this foundation helps with faith later on. Here’s how we celebrated and learned…
