Hello, Dear Ones! I’m catching up on Christmas posts and this one is actually from last year. Christmas isn’t over for some of us. Yes, it is now the 12 days of Christmas that lead up to Epiphany. Last year we had a feast and lots of treats for Leeland. They all lined up with The 12 Days of Christmas song. Click the links for recipes. Enjoy!
A Partridge in a Pear Tree– Chocolate covered pears in puff pastry.
2 Turtle Doves– We used the calling bird rolls for these also. However, you can make your own turtle candies or just buy Dove Turtles.
3 French Hens– cornish hens.
5 Golden Rings– Krispy Kreme donuts
6 Geese a Laying- I didn’t have anything for this one, but this blogger had a great idea for six golden eggs filled with treats! You could also do deviled eggs.
7 Swans a Swimming– Creme puff swans
The yummy filling!
8 Maids a Milking– Milk Duds Candy
Nine Ladies Dancing– I didn’t make anything for this one, but you could easily use the ballet cupcakes I made here for the dancing ladies.
Ten Lords a Leaping– These leaping frogs do the trick!
Eleven Pipers Piping- recorders from Dollar Tree
Twelve Drummers Drumming– Drumsticks Ice cream cones!
We enjoyed our yummy treats! I hope you do
Other ideas for the 12 days and Epiphany:
King Cake and the Apostles Creed– There is debate about the 12 Days song and its meaning. Whether it truly is a Christian code or not, I love using it to teach the faith anyways.
